Advertise your podcast.
Inside other podcasts.

Your next listener may already be enjoying another show. Here is how a podcast-to-podcast campaign makes the introduction.

The quick answer

To advertise your podcast inside other podcasts, create a clear audio promo, match it with relevant shows, arrange placements and give listeners a simple way to find you. Lucid manages that process through fixed monthly growth packages, including promo production and measured ad delivery. You can keep your existing podcast host.

Start with who should love your show.

A podcast category is a starting point. Think about the listener’s interests, what they are trying to understand and the shows they choose for that reason.

A career podcast might fit listeners of conversations about leadership, changing jobs or professional confidence. A show about food might overlap with cooking, travel or cultural conversations. Those are possible relationships, not a promise of available placements.

Describe your intended listener in your brief. Explain what makes your show distinctive and which episodes best represent it. A useful audience profile helps the campaign focus on a relevant introduction.

Make one clear promise in the promo.

The promo’s job is to give someone a reason to try an episode. State the subject, the value and the name of the show in language a new listener can understand.

  1. Open with the interest: a problem, question or curiosity your ideal listener recognizes.
  2. Introduce your show: name it clearly and say what listeners will find there.
  3. Make the value specific: explain a recurring theme, format or perspective.
  4. Give one next step: tell the listener how to find the show.

Illustrative script structure

“Thinking about your next career move? On [Podcast Name], [Host Name] talks with [specific guests] about [specific questions]. Find [Podcast Name] on your favorite podcast app, or use the link in this episode’s show notes.”

This is a writing structure, not a finished campaign or a performance claim. Your actual script should fit your own show and the way it is discovered.

Lucid recommends a promo around 30 seconds, with suitable audio accepted up to 60 seconds. Script, voiceover, music and final mix are included in the growth packages. You approve the finished audio before placements begin, or supply suitable finished audio of your own.

Match the message to the listening context.

Lucid reviews your RSS description, recent episodes and intended audience, then selects placements from eligible available podcasts. Relevant topics, audience interests, tone, format and geography inform the choice.

Two shows in the same category can speak to different people. A produced promo should make sense in the surrounding conversation, rather than relying on the category label alone.

The campaign uses an audio advertisement introducing your show. It should not imply that the placement podcast’s host personally endorses you unless that is genuinely agreed. Specific named placements are not guaranteed.

Say your podcast name clearly. On supported placements, Lucid adds a listening link to the placement episode’s show notes so interested listeners can find your show.

The destination should make listening straightforward. A person may prefer Apple Podcasts, Spotify or another app, so check the public show links and the listening page you provide. Confirm that the episode a newcomer tries represents the show well.

A show-note link provides a route to discovery. A click is still a separate event from starting an episode or following the podcast.

Track delivery and growth as separate steps.

A promo listen measures eligible delivery of your advertisement inside a podcast. It may include repeat listeners. It is not a guaranteed new stream, download or follower of your own show.

Review your campaign’s recorded placements and delivery, then compare your own episode downloads and platform data over a defined period. Note new episodes, guest appearances and other promotion during that period.

Where link activity is tracked and reported, use it as another piece of evidence. If CTR is calculated as link clicks divided by delivered ad listens, describe that definition; do not assume it counts unique people who listened and clicked.

The most useful question is whether the campaign introduced the right people to a show they wanted to keep listening to. That requires both campaign information and your own show data.

What does starting with Lucid look like?

  1. Choose your package. Minimum is $97/month for 4,000 promo ad listens, Standard is $175 for 8,000, and Growth is $300 for 15,000.
  2. Tell us about the show. Share your podcast, intended audience and campaign goal.
  3. Approve the promo. Lucid produces it, or reviews suitable finished audio you provide.
  4. Let Lucid arrange the campaign. The team matches available podcasts, manages placements and reports progress in Studio.

There is no minimum download requirement to buy promotion. Your show should be published and publicly available. New shows can prepare their campaign before launch.

All prices are USD and billed upfront monthly. Subscriptions renew until you cancel future renewals. Already-paid delivery remains available, and unfinished delivery carries forward.

You do not have to move your podcast to Lucid. If you want hosting as well, the corresponding hosting and growth bundle includes it at no extra hosting charge.

Questions about podcast-to-podcast advertising.

Is this a promo swap?

No. A Lucid growth package is a paid, managed promotion campaign with an ad-listen allocation. You are not required to run someone else’s promo in return. Receiving ads through monetization is a separate option for eligible shows.

Can I pick exactly which podcasts run my ad?

Lucid considers your audience and campaign brief, then selects suitable placements from available inventory. A particular named show is not guaranteed.

Can I supply my own audio?

Yes. Lucid accepts suitable MP3 or WAV promos, ideally around 30 seconds and no longer than 60 seconds, subject to review.

Can I also earn money from ads in my show?

Yes, if you qualify for monetization. The Monetize page explains the separate eligibility and application paths.

Does the campaign guarantee new followers?

No. The guarantee concerns your purchased ad delivery. People decide whether to visit, listen and follow.
